In these Terms and Conditions:
“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to GDO Plumbing Services.
“Customer”, “you”, or “your” refers to the person or organisation requesting plumbing services.
“Works” means any plumbing installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, or related services carried out by the Company.
We provide general plumbing services including, but not limited to:
Kitchen installations
Bathroom installations
Heating radiator and pipework alterations/replacement
Leak repairs
Pipework installation and repairs
Tap and toilet repairs/replacements
Drainage and waste pipe works
Water system maintenance
Bathroom plumbing installations
Emergency plumbing services
We do not undertake any gas-related work, including gas appliances, gas pipework, boilers, or gas safety certification.
If gas-related issues are identified during plumbing works, we may recommend that you contact a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Estimates are based on visible conditions and information available at the time.
Additional works required due to hidden defects, unforeseen issues, or customer-requested changes may result in additional charges.
Quotations may exclude materials, disposal fees, parking charges, congestion charges, or specialist equipment unless specifically stated.
Appointment dates and times are estimates only.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time but are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, supplier issues, emergencies, or events beyond our control.
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and working areas.
The customer agrees to:
Provide accurate information regarding the plumbing issue.
Ensure access to water supplies, stopcocks, and affected areas.
Remove valuables or fragile items from work areas where possible.
Obtain any necessary permissions from landlords, managing agents, or third parties before work begins.
Emergency call-out services will be subject to higher hourly rates and minimum charges.
Where immediate temporary repairs are required, we may carry out work necessary to make the system safe or minimise damage before permanent repairs are completed.
Materials supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full.
We may use equivalent alternative materials where original products are unavailable.
Any customer-supplied materials or fixtures are installed at the customer’s risk unless otherwise agreed.
Payment is due upon completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For larger projects, a deposit or staged payments will be required.
Late payments may incur interest and debt recovery costs in accordance with applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend further work until outstanding balances are paid.
Accepted payment methods:
Bank transfer
Card payment
Cash
Other agreed methods
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
If materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, those costs may still be payable.
We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from completion, subject to normal use and proper maintenance.
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to supplied products and materials.
Our warranty does not cover:
Existing faulty systems
Customer misuse or accidental damage
Blockages caused after completion
Frozen pipes
General wear and tear
Third-party alterations or repairs
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant services.
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden pipework failures, or damage caused by undisclosed issues.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
We cannot guarantee permanent clearance of drains or blockages where the underlying cause involves damaged pipework, structural defects, root ingress, or external drainage systems.
Further investigation such as CCTV surveys may be recommended.
While reasonable care will be taken during works, some access work may require lifting flooring, opening boxed-in areas, or removing panels.
We will endeavour to minimise disruption, but unless expressly agreed, decorative repairs including plastering, painting, tiling, or flooring reinstatement are not included.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work where:
Conditions are unsafe,
There is abusive or threatening behaviour,
Hazardous materials are present,
Adequate access cannot be provided.
Any concerns regarding our services should be raised within 7 days of completion.
We will make reasonable efforts to inspect and resolve genuine workmanship issues promptly.
Customer information will only be used for:
Providing services,
Invoicing and payments,
Legal or regulatory obligations.
We will not sell or share personal data with unrelated third parties except where required by law.
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply shortages, transport disruption, strikes, or emergencies.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
